@BooksofWonder is thrilled to invite young inquisitive and artistic minds to a 4 session workshop in…
Origami
The Art of Paper Folding
Led by New York-based paper engineer and pop-up book creator extraordinaire SAM ITA. During each session, SAM ITA will teach young artists a simple technique which they will then apply to creating their own models. These lively and interactive workshops teaching the 300-year-old art of Origami are great for hand-eye coordination, concentration, problem solving, and giving fresh voice to self-expression; the workshops will also give kids the basics they need to pursue more difficult Oragami in the future. This workshop will be divided into 4 one-hour long sessions, held once a month from March through June and is a free event. Ages 5 and up.
The workshops will be held from 4-5pm, the third Thursday of every month, March 15th, April 19th, May 17th, June 21st. Please register at the front counter at Books of Wonder, by phone at 212-989-3270 or by emailing store@booksofwonder.com.
