Tomorrow evening Thursday, December 8th, from 6-8pm we are  thrilled to welcome 4 authors of great new titles for teen readers. Join us as we welcome CECIL CASTELLUCCI for First day on Earth; ANNA GODBERSEN for Beautiful Days; PAUL GRIFFIN for Stay With Me; and DANIEL NAYERI for Staw House, Wood House, Brick House, Blow; Beginning at 6pm this talented panel of authors will present their new books, take questions from the audience, and sign copies of all their great titles. This past Saturday, November 19th, at 3pm, @BooksofWonder was the  stage as the troupe of the Haberdasher Theatre brought everyone’s favorite — Alice in Wonderland  to life with an interactive performance of the classic book. These talented actors made their way through Wonderland and the aisles of Books of Wonder in this interactive and fun filled performance. Thanks so much to the wonderful actors from the Haberdahser Theatre inc. and all the young theater loves that joined us for this fun filled event,.

ZELINSKY, to present their book The Toys Come Home, detailing the adventures of three lovable toys and the friendship they share; ALAN KATZ who shared Poems I Wrote When No One Was Looking, a collection of hilarious and silly rhymes about the ups and downs of being a kid; C. ALEXANDER LONDON introduced We Dine With Cannibals, in which reluctant adventurers Oliver and Celia explore ancient temples, wander the forests of the Amazon, and attend a cannibal feast; author/artist MATT McELLIGOTT presentd Benjamin FranklinsteinLives!, in which a boy finds one of our founding fathers still alive after 200 years; KATE McMULLAN shared Have a Hot Time Hades!, the first title in her just reissued Myth-o-Mania series, in which Hades, King of the Underworld, sets the record straight by telling the real story about how all those Greek myths came about;Newbery Medalist RICHARD PECK presented Secrets at Sea, about a family of well-bred American mice who must stow away on a cruise ship headed for England in 1897; best-selling author of adult suspense thrillers, JASON PINTER, introduced his first book for young readers,Zeke Bartholemew: Superspy!, the story of a 7th grader involved in a case of mistaken identity and thrust into the dangerous world of real-life espionage; and AARON STARMER shared The Only Ones, a tale of children who find themselves left behind when their friends and families disappear without a trace.

On   Saturday, November 26th, we are thrilled to welcome an award winning  group of 10 renowned and award-winning artists to share their new books  that are not only beautifully illustrated, but also filled with  heart-warming tales. Beginning at noon, two-time Caldecott Medalist husband-and-wife team LEO & DIANE DILLON, will introduce Never Forgotten, a tale in poetry by Patricia McKissack, about a young boy in Africa who  is sold into slavery, and The Secret River by  Pulitzer Prize-winning author Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, a mystical tale  of a young girl in the Great Depression who must figure out how to feed  her friends and family; renowned artist and author, JAMES GURNEY will unveil the 20th anniversary edition of his now classic book, Dinotopia, the story of a father and son who discover an incredible world where dinosaurs and man co-exist in harmony; Caldecott  Honor artist SUSAN JEFFERS will share her sumptuous retelling of the classic fairy tale Hansel & Gretel; iconic artist HILARY KNIGHT, internationally known for Eloise and its sequels, will  present his new book, Nina in That Makes Me Mad, in which young Nina discovers that venting her feelings can help her deal with her problems; Caldecott Medalist JERRY PINKNEY will introduce Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, his richly illustrated interpretation of the classic poem; CHARLES SANTORE will share his lush illustrations for The Night Before Christmas; Caldecott Honor artist MELISSA SWEET will share the her colorful new book Balloons Over Broadway,  the story of how artist Tony Sarg created the first giant balloons that  have become the hallmark of the Macy’s Thankgiving Day Parade;  three-time Caldecott Medalist DAVID WIESNER will present the 20th anniversary edition of Tuesday,  his nearly wordless tale of a special night when a small town’s frogs  go flying through the sky on suddenly magical lily pads; and Caldecott  Medalist ED YOUNG will share The House that Baba Built,  the story of the house his father built in Shanghai and how through  love and imagination it was transformed into whatever the family needed. On Saturday @booksofwonder was thrilled to welcome Norton Juster , Jules Feiffer, and Leonard Marcus to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Phantom Tollbooth.
