Beginning at 1pm, we are joined by bestselling husband-and-wife team JACKY DAVIS & DAVID SOMAN, who are back with the newest addition to their ever popular Ladybug Girl picture book series Ladybug Girl and Bingo. When Ladybug Girl goes camping and her dog, Bingo, gets off his leash, it’s up to Ladybug Girl to save her puppy; Caldecott Honor artist DIANE GOODIE presents her latest illustrated work Ballerina Rosie, written by The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson. Rosie loves to dance and dreams of being a prima ballerina, but in ballet class, she can’t seem to master her plié or balance her arabesque. Never mind the grand jeté! On Saturday, August 8th, you and your young readers and listeners will be the first to hear, see, and experience the joy of this latest work by this talented Caldecott Honor artist. The afternoon starts as DAVID EZRA STEIN introduces Amelia, a girl who is skipping down the street and passing on her radiant smile to everyone she passes. Amelia’s smile takes a journey around the world inspiring joyful events — each captured in the author/artists vibrant and lovely illustrations. Join us at noon as DAVID EZRA STEIN unveils his new book for the first time to the public, takes questions from the audience, and signs copies of all his wonderful work. Ages 3-6.
