September Picture Book Bonanza @BooksofWonder!

Books of Wonder is thrilled to welcome you and your young readers and listeners to an afternoon event full of wonderful new picture books and the talented people that create them. Beginning at 1pm, we are joined by bestselling husband-and-wife team JACKY DAVIS & DAVID SOMAN, who are back with the newest addition to their ever popular Ladybug Girl picture book series Ladybug Girl and Bingo. When Ladybug Girl goes camping and her dog, Bingo, gets off his leash, it’s up to Ladybug Girl to save her puppy; Caldecott Honor artist DIANE GOODIE presents her latest illustrated work Ballerina Rosie, written by The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson. Rosie loves to dance and dreams of being a prima ballerina, but in ballet class, she can’t seem to master her plié or balance her arabesque. Never mind the grand jeté! Is there any hope for Rosie’s big dreams?; Debut picture book author and illustrator LEEZA HERNANDEZ introduces one rambunctious little pooch in Dog Gone! When a little pup gets himself in trouble, he decides to run away, only to discover that being all alone is not easy or fun; And Caldecott Honor Artist DAVID EZRA STEINintroduces his uplifting new tale of a smile and it’s trip around the world withBecause Amelia Smiled. Young readers and listeners will love all the great books from this event and will relish the chance to meet the creators of these terrific titles. Beginning at 1pm, the authors and artists will share their books, take questions from the audience, and sign copies of all their wonderful works.Ages 3-6. Sunday, September 16th, 1-3pm.
