Breathless Reads!
Joining us will be MARIE LU whowill present her debut dystopian novel Legend, the story of fifteen-year-old June and Day, both prodigies living in what was once the western United States, but born on opposite sides of the tracks and now on a collision course that will rock both their lives. BETH REVIS will introduce her sci fi series Across the Universe and its sequel, A Million Suns. Across the Universe tells the story of Amy, cryogenically frozen for hundreds of years on a spaceship called Godspeed, and Elder, the boy who is on the ship when she awakens fifty years too early. In A Million Suns, Amy and Elder are still on the Godspeed, and Elder is the ship’s new leader - but there’s trouble aboard. Amy and Elder are forced to discover how to navigate the love growing between them and the turmoil that threatens to tear them apart. JESSICA SPOTSWOOD will present Born Wicked: the Cahill Witch Chronicles, detailing the lives of Cate Cahill and her sisters, girls who can never fit in not only because they are far too intelligent and beautiful - but also because they are witches. And lastly, ANDREA CREMER will share her Nightshade series (Nightshade, Wolfsbane, and Bloodrose), about Calla, the alpha female of a shape-shifting wolf pack, who must choose between her pack’s alpha male whom she is destined to marry, and the human boy she falls in love with, leading her to question everything she knows about her familiar world. Please join us as these four wonderful authors introduce and speak about these novels which perfectly blend action, suspense and romance to leave readers breathless. Amy Wilkinson from MTV.com’s Hollywood Crush blog will moderate this event and there will be free posters and raffles passes to win some great prizes for all in attendance. All four authors will read from their books, take questions from the audience, and sign copies of all their wonderful books. Friday, February 17th, 6-8pm. Ages 12 and up.
