On Saturday February 11th @BooksofWonder is overjoyed to celebrate Valentines Day with four picture book authors and artists and their books about love, kindness, and affection. Beginning at noon DIANE DEGROAT will share her New York Times bestselling title Roses Are Pink, Your Feet Really Stink, in which Gilbert’s prank of writing two not-so-nice valentines to his classmates quickly produces pandemonium. But there’s always time for a change of heart on Valentine’s Day. Caldecott Honor artist DAVID EZRA STEIN will show us what it takes to cuddle, nestle, and nuzzle with great images and a simple message in The Nice Book. Caldecott Honor artist NANCY TAFURI will present All Kinds of Kisses, which shows all the animals on the farm snuggling up with their little ones as a mama bird — seen on every spread — makes her way back to her nest to give her baby bird some special cuddles. Beloved author and artist of over 120 books for children, ROSEMARY WELLS will open our eyes to Love Waves — the invisible but strong waves of love we send to our loved ones until we can be together again — through gentle story of one very loving family. Be sure to bring your young lovers of great picture books to this exciting event as these four very talented authors and artists present their books, answer questions from the audience, and sign copies of all their wonderful works. Ages 2-6. Saturday, February 11th, 12-2pm.
