Books of Wonder is delighted to bring your young readers an afternoon full of great authors, artists, and the wonderful books they create. Join us Saturday, June 16th as we welcome, artist R.W. ALLEY to share When Dads Don’t Grow Up the lively illustrated tale of some dads who act more like kids, and Because Your Mommy Loves You, the richly illustrated story of a boy and his mother on a camping trip and what they teach each other; New York Times best-selling illustrator RAUL COLON delivers Don’t Forget, God Bless Our Troops by Dr. Jill Biden, a moving look at a family with a parent who serves in our armed forces, brilliantly brought to life in Colon’s gorgeous watercolor and colored pencil pictures; award-winning author and illustrator ELISHA COOPER entices us with Homer, a simple story in warm watercolors about a dog and the family he loves; and illustrator BOB SHEA shares the comical prehistoric adventure of Cave Boy in Me Want Pet! the story of a boy and his pet Dodo bird. Starting at noon these four talented picture book creators will share their works, answer questions from the audience, and then sign copies of all their books. Ages 3-6. Saturday, June 16th, 12-2pm.
Please note: Dr. Biden will donate all net author proceeds to charities to support military families and children, and her publisher, Simon & Schuster, will also make a contribution.
